As a surreal and wildlife artist / painter living here in Central America, I am inspired by environmental concerns and including messages of preservation into each of my paintings. Nature each day. I live on The Osa Peninsula in Southern Costa Rica, just North of Panama, with my wife Rebecca Amelia. My oil paintings, acrylic and watercolor's are collected all over the world. I am best known for my surreal acrylic paintings in Costa Rica. As a Costa Rican artist living here for 13 years, I work in both the oil and acrylic mediums and paint Costa Rica wildlife, landscapes, seascapes and any other thing that might pass by my studio while I work. Born in California, spent most of my adult life in Colorado, raised two boys, and built a successful business, I find life much easier here in Costa Rica, simplified and living in nature with birds, monkeys and Dolphins close by.

Here in southern Costa Rica, our art studio rental is only a one hour flight South of San Jose, you will find my artist retreat and art facility. All 3 vacation homes are available to rent for artists, oil painters, workshops, retreats and family adventures. Each day here in southern Costa Rica, we wake up with the view of BARU AND PANAMA across the golf, witness lightning storms, flocks of parrots, toucans, monkeys, lizards, iguanas and sloths all living here in paradise. Our property has been described by authors, writers, artists and photographers as a Tropical Magic Carpet. Very inspiring and private. Nature comes into my home and art studio, and I work nature into every brush stroke. Even some of the bugs get to sign my paintings. I drink lots of Organic Coffee, and pour as much inspiration into my work as possible in 10-12 hour days. Never too far away from a fruit smoothie or the pool. In my most surrealistic art and artistic impression of modern day madness, you will see many things in common in my paintings that carry from one painting to another, such as apples, film, canisters, barrels, cards, and butterfly's representing transformation. Journey 2012, identifies our couriers of false truth and exposes the machines driven by hidden political agendas. This consumerism society we have created is managed by control, fear and greed. This machine needs to be unplugged for man to stay on this planet. See if you can find your road map out from under the big blue labyrinth. It's a requirement of nature to live consciously with nature. We get lots of reminders from nature, but rarely pay attention to them. Previous civilizations mistakes are duplicated and history repeats itself. Mayans call our current paradigm 2012. Christianity calls it revelations. A fear provoking chapter for sure. A new paradigm or paradise for some, maybe hell for others. We've got front your seats either way. The date could be the most quantum shift of consciousness and moment marked in history. As our people and planet shift together towards community, enlightenment. Limitless thinking will rise and modern day fears abandoned. Governing bodies will be busy re engineering sustainable living options for their people. When the dust settles in 2013, we will then live a life where your emotions are not squashed, forgotten or influenced by fear, greed and control. Living with nature forces us to cooperate with it, as she certainly has proven she has the "JoyStick"/ control. Work together like the Leaf Cutter Ants, one team, one energy to solve one challenge at one time. I think if we planted a billion trees, the problem would works its way out in 20-30 years.
