My custom designed jungle Osa Peninsula Vacation Rentals home and studio were completed the year prior to my arrival. My kids were off in college so I had no excuse not to go for it. I arrived, 2 cars packed with dog, birds, cash and lots of power tools... 1 Year later our home started to reflect my new life. 80 degrees, 80 % humidity 80% chance of rain, 80% of the time I can’t find my sandals, 80% chance my Jeep isn’t fixed yet,100%. and 80% chance my title to my property is still still in tramite ("in proces" ) And my new life as a artist and painter begin.

Today 35 years later, Monkeys, Toucans, Sloths and Parrots drop down around me while I paint, truly inspiring! Vulcan Baru off in the distance while I contemplate my second pot of Costa Rican Coffee. Once the birds quiet down a bit, I generally fill the jungle with my blues and jazz while I paint. I work hard at being a painter and enjoy living in the tropics. Our most current "over taking" is our sustainable tree house in Costa Rica, truly green in all meanings, be a child and play all day with your kids in our Lapas Nest Tree House. As an artist living in Costa Rica, I Communicate messages through the medium of acrylic paint on canvas or oil paintings as well.Some of my surreal paintings are influenced by my childhood mentor MC Escher. I studied his work day in and day out as a young boy. Fascinated with his perspectives, almost as if you were an ant on a clothesline looking both directions down the line, or putting your ear to a railroad train rail while looking both ways. Perspectives that only a madman could figure out. I enjoy the perspectives of feeling elevated and floating, I hope you enjoy the perspectives as well. Painting is my passion and my grounding device to keep me from going crazy here with the rest of you folks on the Osa Peninsula. I love all of you. Many of these paintings are quantum in nature, literally, I think about quantum physics and law of attraction each day as I paint. I witness my own interactions with friends.
